Janet Tibbalds, Chair of Trustees
Biral Joshi, Trustee
Known for being an engaging, resilient, and transformational thought leader driving meaningful change by navigating through people, process, and systems. Outside of work Biral lives with her husband in Southeast London, two children and a puppy. She enjoys yoga, exercise and is a keen urban sketcher.
Byron Johnson Brown, Trustee
Byron Johnson Brown joined the trustee board in summer 2017. He has a lifetime of lived experience managing a long term condition, and over a decade of professional experience in the health system. Byron's vision for a more personalised and equitable health service has been heavily influenced by his personal experiences, and early career in health justice and epidemiological research. More recently, Byron has succeeded in a partnership team to develop London’s Next Steps for Social Prescribing (pdf, 7MB), published on the 2 October 2019. Byron currently advises on digital transformation, and manages relationships for the Healthy London Partnership’s Social Investment Fund. Byron’s interests are in the future of genomics in population health, he is a graduate in Entrepreneurship & Music and Media Management, and is currently completing a Msc in Healthcare Leadership at the University of Birmingham.
Elliot Lewis, Trustee
Elliot is heavily involved in the local community, regularly meeting local residents and organisations. He was on the steering group for a local Leonard Cheshire Home. For the past two years Elliot has sat on the Committee for the Bromley Community Fund, which is a local charitable endowment fund. As a result he has become very familiar with the work of Community Links Bromley.
Elliot has a keen interest in cycling and travel. He is married with an 11 year old son and lives in Kent.
Heather Wills, Trustee
In recent years she has been seconded to several local authorities to lead their work on governance improvement, and previously worked in different London Boroughs as a manager of, variously, libraries, heritage, community development, equalities and diversity, and corporate policy and strategy.
She has lived in Bromley for over 35 years and has previously served on a local parochial church council.
Heather enjoys walking and going to the theatre, cinema and musical gigs in her leisure time.
Leigh Gallagher, Trustee
Currently as Delivery Director at Blue Lozenge, a Bromley-based Communications and PR agency working predominantly within the health and social care sectors, Leigh has responsibility for all governance, people and business and financial operations.
Leigh began her career as a fundraiser in the voluntary sector, working closely with high level individuals, statutory and national lottery funders, before moving into senior management roles in the public sector and Medical Education.
Leigh’s interest in governance has underpinned her career, with experience in working closely with senior leadership teams undertaking strategic review and analysis, leading on corporate affairs, including communications and events alongside a passion for people and social justice leading on HR, governance and planning.
She has achieved a fellowship with Clore Social Leadership having completed their Experienced Leader programme and is looking forward to bringing her leadership experience and skills in management and providing strategic support into her role at CLB.
While not at work Leigh enjoys downtime with her daughter and ball-crazy labrador finding space, countryside and quiet whenever possible.
Liz Poulter, Trustee
In the past I have worked with the volunteering centre to find ways to encourage volunteers and to ensure they were thanked for the valuable time that they gave. It is so important that we encourage everyone to share their valuable skills but also ensure that volunteers have the opportunities to learn and develop new skills."
Luke Hallard, Trustee
Luke is a programme director at HSBC Bank. He brings a range of expertise with him, including developing business strategy, and delivering complex and often time-critical organisational change. Luke has a broad knowledge of financial crime risk, and has led change programmes to improve sanctions screening and anti-money laundering controls in one of the world's biggest banks, representing the bank in meetings with regulators including the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulatory Authority, and the Federal Reserve Bank.
Luke has built effective and collaborative relationships in the private and not-for-profit sector, and has experience of working with start-ups and other charities whose mission is to reduce disadvantage and support communities.
Paul Cosgrave, Trustee
His skills are financially based and he has over the years, been focused on relationship banking, where developing and maintaining customer relationships have been very important to him.
He is a very involved with scouting in both Bromley and Bexley and his roles have included being a Group Scout Leader in Petts Wood, District Commissioner for Chislehurst, Deputy District Commissioner for Adult Support and a Deputy County Commissioner for the Borough of Bromley which covered the support to the voluntary sector.
He has built up relationships with both boroughs, run various projects over the years and believes that he has acquired the skills and experience required of a trustee, alongside a wide knowledge of the local voluntary sector and its operation.
He is a very keen golfer and played football for the bank for over thirty years at a good standard.
Paul has been married to his wife Jackie for 37 years and they have two sons.
Tadeusz Peter Dabrowski, Trustee/Treasurer
Peter's primary skills are financially and para-legal based and he was a member of HSBC’s senior management team looking after certain major businesses in trouble. He ended his career as author and main negotiator for a wholly regulated agreement type, his dealings including major international banks, insurance companies, fund managers, pension funds, governments and local authorities - the underlying service involving the administration of world-wide assets of over US$7trn.
He has and still does work for various charities - he was the founding treasurer to the Bromley branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Society. His knowledge of matters financial resulted in him being asked to be auditor for various charitable organisations.
He is a very keen sportsman with a love of cycling (he commuted by bicycle from his home in Petts Wood to work for many years) and a variety of ball sports played over the years. His sporting activity is now limited to casual cycle rides and golf.
Peter has been married to his wife Jacqueline for 38 years and they have three children - a son and two daughters.
