A Record Year of Fundraising

Everyone is affected by cancer one way or another, and it is heartwarming to see the stories of survivors thanks to groundbreaking research. This vital research is only possible through the support of charities, and we are very proud of the important contribution this small group of volunteers has made so far.

In 2024, Churchill Partners had their best year since 2019, raising just over £41,000.

  • £10,531 came from in memoriam donations. We are very grateful to the families who supported us at such a difficult time, particularly with the changes imposed for funerals.

  • Christmas card sales raised £4,894. Our thanks go to our talented designers and generous sponsors who make this possible each year.

Churchill Partners is a group of local volunteers, meaning that every penny raised goes directly to the Churchill Hospital for critical cancer research. Over more than 30 years, we have raised over £1.7 million.

 

Fundraising Highlights

(Belly) Dance for Life

On 1st February, Southmoor Village Hall was filled with over 40 performers – mostly belly dancers – along with musicians and a full-capacity crowd. Sharon Cooper bravely performed post-mastectomy and helped raise £2,090.54 for Churchill Hospital’s research.

Busk for Life

Busking

A festive 4-hour busking session at the M11 Northampton Southbound Roadchef on 14th December raised nearly £600. More sessions are planned for the summer.

County Insurance Cheque Presentation

County Insurance Services in Kidlington chose Churchill Partners as their charity of the year, raising £2,008.70 through events including a Rowathon and Triathlon.

Preloved Clothing Sales

Our pop-up refreshment stand at the Preloved Clothing Sale raised nearly £200 on a chilly February day.

11th Annual Quiz Night

Held for the first time at Loose Cannon Brewery, the quiz drew over 100 attendees and raised £1,384.55. Thanks to Miele Co Ltd, we also raised an extra £90 by auctioning a vacuum cleaner.

Mid-Summer Prize Draw 2025

Following last year’s huge success, our Mid-Summer Prize Draw returns with even bigger prizes thanks to the generosity of local businesses.
