Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Immediate point of contact for the CRA, is our Secretary Catherine Wilson who can be contacted using the details below:

catherine.wilson15@btinternet.com

The CRA meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7.15pm in Cellardyke (Lower) Town Hall, (with the exception of January) where you would be made most welcome.

The CRA is a voluntary Association whose Membership is made up of both current and past Cellardyke residents. The Members are like minded people who want to both safeguard and preserve Cellardyke's identity for future generations. If you are similarly interested we would love to meet you!

If you would like to join the CRA either contact the Secretary directly (See FAQ index) or attend one of the Monthly Meetings where you will be able to join.

Membership costs (2015/2016) are minimal and individual members currently pay £1 at each monthly meeting that they attend. A number of other members who are unable to attend regularly (or unable through illness) make a single (recommended) annual donation of £10.

For your donation you will be kept fully informed about the ongoings of the organisation and any associated events.

In short - Membership can involve as much or as little of your time as you are prepared to spend.

The role of the CRA is to "Help, to the best of it's ability, by information or advice, any resident of Cellardyke on matters connected with the well-being and future of the village" and to "Arrange functions or events for furthering such well-being and promote a sense of community."

As a  properly constituted organisation we have a number of official posts that need to be staffed by our Members, in addition we also have sub-committee's who take on additional responsibilities ie "Cellardyke Floral Arrangements."

If you would like to become actively involved within our organisation there are plenty of rewarding opportunities ahead, if not, that's fine.
