Cellardyke,
17th Oct 2021
Dear Fellow CRA Members,
Cellardyke Residents Association
The CRA first met in August 2007, with 14 founder members present. Of these, five are now sadly deceased, and four are still members on our current list. The minute of our first meeting can be found on the CRA website, which George has looked after for a number of years.
A lot has happened in the past 14 years, and a lot of work has been done by the Association. Our final task, completing the work of the Silverdykes Liaison Committee, is now complete, and the SLC will soon disband. I am grateful to all of you who rallied one last time to support Paul, Dorothea and me as we fulfilled the CRA’s commitment to the committee, and also to Nette and Catriona, who have continued as secretary and treasurer. It is now time, I think, to close the CRA in good order.
To that end, I hope as many as possible of you will be able to attend our final AGM on the 28th October. I can confirm that none of the current office bearers will be continuing, and that I will table a proposal to disband in accordance with the constitution, and give our remaining funds to the Cellardyke Trust, who continue to safeguard the heritage of Cellardyke.
I look forward to us meeting for one last time, and hope you can join us.
With best wishes
Glenn
