Burglaries - Update, November 2016

There has been a burglary on Tudor Drive and they appeared to be targeting jewellery.  The theft of motorbike from Wingfield Road was in close proximity and was a result of the keys being stolen in a Burglary.

As detailed previously, jewellery, motor vehicles and money are being targeted and stolen. Please be mindful of security of homes will need to be looked at, timed lighting etc. Below is a list of roads affected and methods of entry. Unfortunately no witnesses so no descriptions to disseminate but if you do see anyone or anything suspicious please don't hesitate to call 999 or 101.

Kingston Police Update, Summer 2016

30 July 2015 at 21:00

Subject: Tudor Ward - recent crimes on Tudor

Good evening all

I wanted to update everyone on the recent spate of crimes on Tudor.  Over the last five days there have been six burglaries and six theft of pedal cycles.  .

The pedal cycles were all taken from communal areas or from secured bike racks in open areas (one block of flats has multiple entrances that are insecure thus impossible to prevent theft and three bikes were taken). The bikes were all taken within close proximity of Lower Ham Road.

The burglaries all centred in and around the Tudor Drive area and were in the early hours. There were two residential burglaries, two attempted residential and two non-residential (sheds).  After a relatively quiet July on Tudor so far this was a significant few days of crime.

I have been busy compiling various taskings and activities for police. These are as follows:

1. A tasking has been established for every officer in Kingston to be made aware and to patrol the areas 24/7 in marked and unmarked vehicles.

2 A tasking for a police bike to be used to catch bike thieves.

3.I am on night shifts and have been patrolling the area in uniform and plain clothes and will continue to do so.

There were no similar crimes last night.

I want to reassure you that I am using every tool and resource at my disposal to prevent any more of these type of crimes. Can I please ask everyone to spend some extra time securing their homes and garages and where bikes are in a communal area to use an expensive lock and if possible move bikes into garages/sheds or into homes if space allows.

You are my eyes and ears so please report any suspicious behaviour. Any questions please do not hesitate in contacting me on simon.stamp@met.police.uk

Regards

Simon
