Camberley and District Horticultural Society manages the allotments sites in Surrey Heath on behalf of the Greenspace Department of Surrey Heath Brough Council. The Society receives an annual grant from SHBC and collects rents from plot holders annually to cover its costs and fund infrastructure projects on the allotment sites.

The Society has an executive committee comprised of elected officers and the site representative from each site, which meets regularly to discuss and administer any issues and projects. The officers, site reps and committees are all volunteers. All allotment tenants are encouraged to get involved with the maintenance of sites and social events that take place on the site; also, some sites participate in events with their local community. A copy of the Society constitution is on the Our Files page.

The Society is affilated to the Surrey Horticultural Federation and to the Royal Horticultural Society.

There are seven allotment sites in the borough, of varying sizes and numbers of plots. Each site has a site representative, who reports to CDHS, and a site committee that looks after their site. Barossa, Brook Road and Crabtree allotments are in Camberley, Bridgemead and Churchfields allotments are in Frimley and Cross Lane and Wharf Road allotments are in Frimley Green.

Additionally, there is a new allotment site being developed at Mindenhurst in Deepcut that is expected to be opened sometime in 2025. CDHS and SHBC are in discussion at present about the management of the new site.

Plot holders on our sites must be residents within Surrey Heath and pay council tax to SHBC.
