Membership Information
We offer the opportunity for anyone interested to come along and join in two taster workshops at £10 per workshop, so you can decide if it’s for you, and then you can either join as a member or pay twice the normal workshop fee as a Guest member, per additional workshop. Just bring yourself, whatever calligraphy kit you have, a packed lunch and a mug.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied free of charge.
Note: to Beginners - For Beginners who have no equipment we put together a simple starter pack at low cost to get you started.
Where ? --- The Community Hall, St John The Divine, St John Street, Rastrick, Brighouse HD6 1HN.
When? --- First Saturday of the month, 10 am to 4 pm
Membership fees: ( Payable annually at the October AGM )
Adult membership: £28 per annum.
Joint membership: £50 per annum.
Junior members (under 18): £14.00 per annum.
Ascender-only members: £15 a annum + if they also attend a Saturday meeting the fee is £10 per workshop.
Workshop fees:
Monthly Workshop fees: £10 per member, £5 juniors.
Visiting Tutor workshops: £20 per adult, £10 juniors.
Basic Equipment: A dip pen, ink, paper and ruler will get you started. A board to work on is also useful.
All these are available from our shop.
Catering: Free coffee, tea and biscuits. Please bring your own mug and a packed lunc
Parking: There is plenty of parking in the church car park and the surrounding area.
