Braintree District Council has now installed CCTV at the recycling centre in Church Road, Bradwell. Residents will be aware that there have been a number of incidents of fly-tipping in this location during the past year and it is hoped that with the CCTV being closely monitored, this will now stop.
Signs have been placed along the road advising that CCTV is in operation and that offenders could potentially be fined, and residents should be mindful when using the recycling bins to ensure that items are placed inside the bins and not around the bins, which could also be considered as fly-tipping.
PLEASE NOTE: You must still report fly-tipping directly to Braintree District Council as and when it happens as the cameras are trial cameras and only monitored/reviewed when fly-tipping is reported.
