An afternoon visit to Granton Castle Walled Garden

Since May 2017 a group of keen volunteers have been restoring an overgrown space into a peaceful haven which is accessible to local residents as well as visitors. Come and see how a community group can successfully take over a wilderness and recreate this Victorian Garden. Due to the issues surrounding social distancing it is unlikely this visit will take place; however watch either our FaceBook page or here, our webpage for updates.

Granton Walled

Gardening Scotland.

It was with much sadness we learnt of the demise of Gardening Scotland. Due to the issues relating to Covid 19 the show organisation went into liquidation in mid April.

Our members were  regulars at Gardening Scotland. which showcased the best in Scottish Horticulture with numerous national & international plant stands, show gardens, TV personalities, the Pallet Garden Competition, and free advice on all gardening matters.

The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society organise a wide range of garden visits and for 2020 the following were planned, however due to Covid 19 & the need for social distancing these have been cancelled.

Tuesday 5 May : 6pm : A Wild Flower Walk - Holyrood Park, in the company of Stan da Prato

Sunday 10 May : 2pm - 5pm :  Anna Buxton's Garden , Redcroft, 23 Murrayfield Road

Saturday 16 May:  (all day trip cost £48) ; North of the Clyde, with visits to Glenarn & Geilston
