1.Event Volunteers: Our Funday is a day for the local community to come together and socialize following a very difficult day year. There'll be a variety of activities like art and crafts workshops, Karate, face painting and family games, as well as information on local services. We are looking for volunteers to help us with stewarding the event, setting up the site for the fun day and ensuring the event is covid-19 & health and safety secured. People with any skills are welcome but we are particularly looking for people with health & safety, fire safety and events experience
2.Youth Club Volunteers: We are looking for people that are passionate about helping young people in the community stay on the right path and create that real community spirit. We currently run activities on Thursdays between 3pm-6pm - a football programme called TFC where we play football and buy the young people chips and socialise after the games. Volunteers will be working with young people from ages 7 to 18 both males and females. We are also looking to expand the range of activities we offer to young people in September. This is a great time to join a thriving team of dedicated youth workers. You will gain experience of developing and expanding a grass root community project. We have plans to run various programmes throughout 2021/22 these include a music project and an indoor activity club.
