Early Learning & Childcare Consultation
Aberdeen City Council are looking for views on funded Early Learning and Childcare for all three & four year olds.
Aberdeen City Council would like to hear from parents, carers and future parents and carers about their views on funded Early Learning and Childcare for all three and four-year olds and eligible two-year olds. The Council has been able to offer 84% of all on-time applicants their first choice in an Aberdeen City Council setting for August 2025 admissions. By taking part in the consultation parents/carers and future parents/carers can help shape the Council’s Early Learning and Childcare offering for all three and four-year olds and eligible two-year olds.
The purpose of this consultation is to seek the views of parents and carers in order to:
• Continue to review the impact of the implementation of the expansion of Early Learning and Childcare;
• Inform the development of our Early Learning and Childcare Delivery Plan, which is published every two years and sets out the strategic direction for the delivery of Early Learning and Childcare in the city, responding to local need and reflecting the diversity of communities in Aberdeen; and
• Meet our statutory consultation duties under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
The consultation is open until 11.59pm on Friday 30 May 2025. Your views are important to us. The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and can be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://elc2025.commonplace.is/en-GB/

Tenants Receive Their Tenant Participation Cerification
Geraldine Matthew and Lewis McGill recently completed their certification in Tenant Participation
Long standing tenant participants Geraldine Matthew and Lewis McGill recently completed their course on Tenant Participation and Community Development provided by TPAS Scotland.
Both had an interest in completing the course after being involved in Tenant Participation and as well as their local communities for a number of years. To gain more understanding and knowledge of what's involved in both council services.
Having attend conferences and training with the North East Tenants Residents And Landlords Together (NETRALT). Both Geraldine and Lewis were eager to learn more and getting their certification was the next logical step for both of them.
Congratulations and well done to Geraldine and Lewis.
