Carers’ Week (8th-14th June) is an annual campaign which is all about raising awareness of carers, highlighting the challenges they may face and recognising all the incredible things they do for families and communities.
This year, we decided to throw a fun-filled summer party to celebrate the young carers we work with. It was a great opportunity for us to treat them and make sure that each and every one of them feels valued and important.
We had plenty to do at the party including a visit from our friend Zoe, a local artist who ran a wonderful mosaic workshop…
A humungous bouncy castle which allowed the young carers endless fun (and plenty of exercise!)…
Plenty of games and competitions to give the children and young people an opportunity to win prizes…
And a DELICIOUS fountain oozing chocolate…
Carers’ Week allows for a week of events and activities to celebrate carers, but it’s also important to think about how we can continue to support carers all year round. Check out the team’s pledges…
