The UK Rail network is operated by many different private companies.

You can buy a ticket for travel at the station, over the phone or on-line.

This will be valid on all companies' trains (except special offer tickets) for

the route you are travelling on.

If you plan to travel to London, it is best to do so at off peak hours.

During busy times (before 10am and between 5pm-9pm the ticket prices

can be expensive. It is also worthwhile booking your ticket in advance.
