Aiming High for Disabled Children
"Aiming High for Disabled Children (AHDC) is a new programme from the Government to
help disabled children, young people and their families get the support they need to live
ordinary lives.
The Government held consultation events with disabled children, young people and their

more short breaks". This investment means that disabled children and young people can
take a short break, do new things and make more friends " - from Every North Lincolnshire

A hate incident is an incident where someone does or says something to another person, group of people or
towards a particular area of the community, on the basis of them being different. For example, a person makes
a racist remark to someone they perceive to be from a different racial background to them.
- incidents can be verbal or physical.
- a perpetrator only has to perceive the victim to be different on the grounds of race, religion/belief, age,
disability, sexual orientation, gender or gender status, for this to be a hate incident.
- a victim, witness or third party, only has to perceive an incident to be motivated by hate in order to report it
as a hate incident. If you’re not sure, report it anyway – we will take it from there.
Humberside Police supports those reporting hate incidents. A Hate Crime report can be made at a reporting centre
or collect a reporting form where you see the above logo or use one of the following methods:
• Dedicated Hate Crime number: 0300 123 (HATE) 4283
• Email: hatecrime@humberside.pnn.police.uk
• Text: 07772 867343
• Online reporting form on the Humberside Police website.
