Sciencewise was originally a grant-making scheme but has evolved into ‘an overarching programme, which works with policy makers to identify areas of science and technology that would benefit from dialogue, commissions and then monitors a range of activities delivered by expert dialogue practitioners.’Sciencewise also provides training on dialogue to policy makers, and works to identify and disseminate good practice.Sciencewise runs a number of programmes designed to improve and enable public dialogue around science based issues. They have commissioned work around stem cell research, nanotechnology and drug addiction. Their website provides a clear guide to their work.
