This site features a very practical guide for policy makers on how to consult with consumers (Cumbria County Council is a ‘civic pioneer’ and have also produced a Framework for Community Engagement called Local Matters). The guide describes some available methods and their benefits and drawbacks.

The guide is very practically focussed with clear and well sectioned text. The site makes good use of summaries but is at times a bit brief in its advice.
