Summary/Overview:

The Community Development Foundation (CDF) administers the 'Connecting Community Plus' Community Grants Programme.

The fund has four key priorities:

  • Improving the experiences of people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) backgrounds in relation to access and outcomes from public services - education, employment, health, housing and the Criminal justice System
  • Increasing the confidence of people from BME backgrounds that public services are delivered in a fair and equitable way
  • Tackling racism and extremism
  • Bringing together communities from different races and faiths, and promoting a shared sense of belonging (community cohesion)
