"I am very much enjoying being involved in the Take Part project at Meryfield School. I have met so many amazing people and made many new wonderful friends. For me, it has been a really heart warming experience, watching so many of the younger mums who initially took the difficult step of joining the group for a cup of coffee and a chat. We have become a part of each others lives and I have watched proudly as so many women have made really positive changes to their lives, for both themselves and their children. I am actively involved with volunteering in the Take Part project within the school and in supporting parents however possible. I have also recently become a School Governor - this is a role that is open to anyone who is interested. As a community, we are all supported brilliantly by Heather and her Team at Hertfordshire County Council and there are many courses and so much support available for everyone." |

"Having been on several sessions in the Take Part project has put me in touch with other people from different backgrounds, different ages and different races. Having been born in one of the European countries, the Take Part project has brought things forward to the 21st century as it means bringing people together. I feel learning and educating oneself is great for everyone to understand and to help each other to make life a better place to be. I also have had the chance to visit the Houses of Parliament and the council offices which have brought them to life as I always have found it hard to be interested in what goes on at these places." |

"The Take Part course has meant to me becoming part of the community, becoming more knowledgeable of my community and people within it. I have made new friends on these courses and have benefited from the life coaching and parenting courses. I would like to take part in more courses and anything which will mean I gain more knowledge. I would also like the chance to experience different jobs in the hope of achieving a job." |
