What is Street Sport?
Street Sport is about getting young people who hang out with ‘nothing to do’ involved in sport. A mobile team of sports leaders will provide street sport on evenings and weekends directly into local communities.

Street Sport aims to get more young people participating in sport, having fun, learning new skills and getting active. Reducing youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
What’s in it for young people?
- Something to do
- Sport and activities of their choice
- Hanging out with friends
- Learning new skills
- Access to local clubs
- The opportunity to become sports leaders, coaches or volunteers
- But most importantly to have fun
Community benefits
Street Sport gives young people the chance to get involved in sport in an informal atmosphere. Not only will they participate in sport, they will also learn new skills and have the opportunity to gain sport and leadership qualifications. All this will help to reduce youth crime and anti-social behaviour.
