Riseley Our Village - How they served in World War One
Members of the Riseley Historical Society have produced a book on the village of Riseley in the First World War.
It gives information on the background history of the war and more importantly the village the wars effect and the service men’s story.
The information has been gathered through visits to the library- the Bedfordshire Times- internet access to online genealogy services and census data including Military Records.
A team has visited members of families of those who served and were given excellent help with documents and pictures a selection of these will be included in the Book.
This Book has been very popular and we have contacted the printers to order another 50 copies.
