Hello

December is coming and we have some fun events lined up in North Lincolnshire Libraries in the run up to Christmas. Even though the Central Library in Scunthorpe town centre is closed there is still lots going on.

We have Christmas stories and crafts for pre-school children at Ashby Library on Thursday 1 December from 10-11am.  We're at Riddings Library on 8 December, and Barton Library on 15 December from 10 to 11am with stories and crafts. Brigg Library are holding a children's Christmas crafts event from 3pm to 6.30pm on 9 December too.

We'd love to see you at one of these events, and help us get into the Christmas spirit!

This event was the usual mad success, with the Central Library tranformed into a Manga landscape.  Most thrilling for many was the presence of artist Al Davison, whose Manga portrait service was fully subscribed within a very short time.

Check out our photo album for a great number of photos taken by our tireless in-house photographer Kim, as you may well see yourself.  In all attendees enjoyed quizzes, competitions, great cakes and goodies, freebies as well as the opportunity to enjoy Cosplay with like-minded folk.

Despite the demise of TokyoPop, event organiser Veronica Robinson is still keen to put on a similar event in 2012, so watch this space.
