North Lincolnshire's favourite nursery rhyme
We all love nursery rhymes, but which is your favourite?
This autumn we asked you to vote in our poll to find North Lincolnshire’s favourite rhyme. With polls running across the country we were keen to see if our results here in North Lincolnshire were the same as other areas.
Research released in October 2009 for National Bookstart Day shows that the most popular nursery rhyme in Yorkshire and the Humber is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Unsurprisingly, The Grand Old Duke of York marched into second place for the region, while Baa Baa Black Sheep was voted the third most popular.
Nationally Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was also the most favourite. This was followed up by Incey Wincey Spider and Round and Round the Garden.
However here in North Lincolnshire we have been voting too and we can now reveal your favourite Nursery Rhymes.
In third place you voted for Baa Baa Black Sheep.
In second place you picked Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
And the most popular nursery rhyme in North Lincolnshire, with 42% of the vote is Incy Wincy Spider.
