The choir has been established for more than eighty years and, throughout its history, has been supported by the Co-operative movement. It has 120 members in its main choir, their ages ranging from 8 to 18 years, and also runs 2 training choirs with children singing from the age of 3.

The Lydian Choir is a group of dedicated amateur musicians which performs concerts in Scunthorpe and the surrounding area. It aims to present several concerts a year, usually combining a variety of choral music and solo performances by local musicians.
