The Quiet City Project Surveys Residents and Workers

The aim of the Quiet City Project is to protect and enhance the soundscape of quiet areas within the City of London, with a major part of this likely to involve the designation (and subsequent protection) of Quiet Zones in certain areas of the City.

Specialist consultants have already been commissioned to carry out a scoping study analysing the concept of quiet zones, as well as an extensive noise monitoring study analysing the acoustic environment in different areas of the City.

The next stage of the project is to gauge public opinion towards noise in the City, and a series of social surveys have been devised focussing on residents, workers and open space users in turn. This will allow the City of London to target future actions to be able to best meet the needs of the City population.

Take a few minutes to complete the survey now and get your views heard!
