PHASE TWO PROJECT UPDATE

Start on Site 3rd October 2011
This will be the conversion of 4 commercial properties at the podium level into l bedroom residential flats.
Early February 2012
Start date for the construction of the new White Kennet Street library and community centre and the new estate entrance at the corner of Harrow Place and Artizan Street. The anticipated completion date for the new estate entrance is Late April 2012. The anticipated completion date for the new Library and Community Centre is mid-September 2012.
Late April 2012
This involves closing the current estate entrance on Middlesex Street to construct 2 new 1 bedroom flats. Anticipated completion date for these works is late September 2012.
Early September 2012
This involves closing the existing Estate Office and Community Centre. The new estate office facilities from this date will operate from the library and community centre. The space at the bottom of Petticoaat Tower where the existing estate office is, will be converted into 8 new flats, 4 x 1 bedroom and 4 x 2 bedroom. The existing community centre will be converted into 10 x new bedsite flats. Both of these elements of works are anticipated to be completed for early 2013.
We will of course keep you fully informed throughout the duation of the works and more detailed newsletter will follow to let you know about all the new exciting facilities that will be on offer for all to use in the new library and community centre.
Whilst Phase Two of the project is underway we will be working hard behind the scenes on the design details for Phase Three, the sustainability phase to transform Middlesex Street into an examplar estate fit for the 21st Century.
