Volunteer Book Keeper

MEFAS members undertake all roles as volunteers and the Charity is looking for someone to keep the accounts and prepare basic reports for committee meetings.

There is no requirement to join MEFAS but the Committee is seeking someone who would be willing to keep the accounts on a voluntary basis in line with other members. 

This post will enable the volunteer to practice booking skills for a small organisation with VAT recoverable expenditure, produce trial balancing and preparing financial reports.  In addition, the post holder would be expected to assist in prepariong grant applications.

The post could also be suitable for someone learning to be an accountant or an accounting technician.
