Recent events
To provide the funds for maintaining the Hall the committee stage various events throughout the year. Last year we raised £650 from a very successful Casino Night, and we continue to use the subsidised acts supplied from ‘Live and Local’.
Last Year we also managed to replace all the external doors and windows with double glazed units. We have to thank Staffordshire County Council who match funded with a £4000 grant towards the cost. We also have to thank Councillor Frank Lewis who obtained a grant of £1200 from Staffordshire Local Community Fund; this enabled us to purchase a new cooker, a microwave and twenty extra new chairs.
The toilets have been refurbished thanks to grants from The Big Lottery Fund (£10,000) Staffordshire Environmental Fund (£7,200) and £1,500 from the Parish Council. We arelooking to raise money towards replacing the boiler, changing the lighting and numerous other neccessary improvements.
We managed to raise £750 from our last "Live and Local" evening which was a sell out. Our next is on Friday 4th March. Click for details
We are very grateful to the WI for several donations and for purchasing twelve small tables for the hall.
