2009 Christmas Concert

Our 2009 Christmas Concert took place at St. Lawrence's Church, Scunthorpe on Saturday 19th December. The snowy conditions didn't deter our loyal audience and we were able to present a total of £455.00  to the Lighthouse supported housing project.

Success at Local Festival

The Choir won the Adult Choirs and Youth Choirs class of the North Lincolnshire Music and Drama Festival in March 2009. Under the direction of Susan Hollingworth they were able to impress the adjudicator with their delivery of two contrasting pieces. Both items - the Negro Spiritual, Wade in the Water, and the first movement of Bob Chilcott's Making of the Drum - will be performed at our summer concert on 28th June at Burton Stather.

During April 2007 we hosted a visit of the French choir Resonances from Sallanches. The Lydian Choir visited them in 2005 and it was a great pleasure meeting them again. We are looking forward to a return trip in 2010.
