Loatlands Primary School Governors

So what do School Governors do?

Governors keep a watching brief that the school is fulfilling it’s statutory responsibilities, particularly with the curriculum.

They evaluate the school’s performance and it’s effectiveness.

They ensure that a responsible budget is set from the funds the local authority and central government delegate.

They ensure that those funds are spent wisely and give value for money.

They ensure that health and safety arrangements are stringent.

They assure that there is fairness in the process of appointments.

They are responsible for managing a number of responsibilities including the school’s arrangements for safeguarding children.
