Year 6 Class Page

Welcome to our Year 6 Class Page.

Miss T Durling

Hello. Thank you for visiting our webpage. Here in year 6, we pack an awful lot into our year at Loatlands. We work hard but, we have a lot of fun in the process. As the oldest year group in the school it is up to us to lead by example.

Some of the pupils have volunteered to be 'Young Leaders', this means that we go onto the infant playground and help the younger ones play fairly. A few of the pupils are Librarians and some set out the junior lunchtime equipment to.

In addition to revising for the 'infamous' S.A.T.'s we cover some great topics. This year we have particularly enjoyed our history project on the Victorian's as we had a fantastic trip to London! We have been having weekly French lessons with Madame Cave from Montsaye, which have been 'Formidable'.

During the summer term we start preparing for our change to secondary school. We also have residential trip for a week, our school graduation evening, our summer day out and our 'Leavers Assembly'.

Year 6 is a great year, it gives our pupils a head start for secondary school and it is throughly enjoyable.
