About CPEGs

In each London Borough there exists a Community & Police Engagement Group (CPEG).

These bodies are composed of representatives of the local community, and provide a forum in which that community can engage with their local Police (and generally the local authority also) on policing & community safety issues of boroughwide significance. (Very local issues are usually dealt with in ward-level Safer Neighbourhood Panels.)

Each Borough group operates in the way it sees best for its local circumstances - while having to achieve standards satisfactory to the Metropolitan Police Authority, which provides the basic funding for each Group as part of its community engagement strategy for London.

CPEGs aim to be as representative as possible of their local populations. For information about participation in your local group, please follow the link below.
