KCAH helps those without any priority for public housing and for whom there is no 'safety-net'. The ethos of KCAH is to prevent homelessness wherever possible. Where housing is lost, we consider that no person should be forced out of our community because of poverty or their homelessness. KCAH recently had a small grant from Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA) to help fund the post of our Hostel Placements Officer, Daniela Lewis.
We have also gratefully received a new computer and laptop from Superhighways. This will help with the training and learning we provide our tenants.
KCAH must rely largely on Church, Community, and individual support, together with such funding as may be won from time to time from local and central government and charitable trusts.
