The Jaguar Charity Pantomime Society, established in 1947, aims to provide a good quality pantomime performance at a nominal price to groups of children and adults who would otherwise have difficulty in visiting a theatre. Children and adults who have varying multiple disabilities or are socially deprived have the opportunity to experience the very special magic of pantomime as our special guests.
The Society also wants to develop the natural talents of local West Midlands people by teaching stagecraft, providing the opportunity for anyone with acting or singing ability to appear on stage in front of audiences of several hundreds each night over the 6 days that the pantomime is staged. Backstage crafts are also taught including make-up, costume design/making, set design and production. We perform with original scripts, make a lot of our own costumes and of course raise the funds to put on the performances. The revenue from members of the public who pay for their tickets also helps to fund the performances.
