DESCRIPTION:Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband has invited people to mobilise to \ndemand action on climate change so we are doing just that On Saturday \nJuly 4, thousands of people will come together to form what is being \ncalled "the Mili-band" which will be a human chain surrounding \nKingsnorth power station in Kent, to renew our demand that no new new \ncoal-fired power plant is built here unless it has CCCS working at \n100% (or very close) from the start.\n\nCampaign against Climate Change supporters will be meeting at 9.00 \n-9.15 am at Victoria Station to take the train to Rochester where \nthere will be a shuttle service to join the Miliband at Kingsnorth\n\n \n\nThe timetable for the day then looks like this :\n\n \n\n9.30-11am\nShuttle buses ferry people from Rochester station to the event centre\n10-12am\nAssembly on site and registration\n12-1pm\nGroups set off to take up their positions in the Mili-band\n1.30pm\nPhotographs and video of the Mili-band\n2pm\nFinish and return to events centre\n2.30pm\nLive music on stage\n3.00\nSummer fête starts\n3pm-5pm\nShuttle buses return people to Rochester station\n\n\n**How do I get there?\n\n*By train.* Pick up a free shuttle bus to the site from outside \nRochester train station in Kent between 09:30 and 11:00. Buses will be \nreturning from 15:30 to 16:00\n*By car.* There is no parking for private cars but you can park in \nRochester and get the shuttle bus.\n*By coach.* There will be coaches leaving from Oxford, Cardiff, \nBristol, Birmingham and Coventry on the day and returning after the \nevent - you can reserve a free space on a coach here. [1]\n*Arranging your own transport.* If you have hired your own minbus, \nplease arrive at Kingsnorth holding site no later than 11.30 (maps \nwill be available on this site [2: 'Oxfam'] in June).
