As with the header in my other answer, I'm afraid that no you can't change the footer (other than with the reasonably limited display options available in the site settings).

Again, the new themes will allow more flexibility in what is displayed, but not to the extent of defining your own HTML.

If you are desperate to hide bits, you can add some custom CSS that sets a display:none on the footer elements you want to be rid of (in the theme options of DarkTones and Playtime).
