We are a small site with about two dozen members at present. We have several hundred potential members and expect a steady flow of new members as time goes by.

We have three site administrators at the moment, and I am one of them. When I get an e-mail stating someone wishes to join, I look at the requesting members e-mail address, and if I don't recognise who the requesting person may be, I leave it for one of the other administrators in the hope that they will!

The issue id that we have recently had two membership requests that have been approved, apparently without any of the administrators doing so. I'm sure this should be impossible!

Is there a way of better managing membership requests? Can e-voice be configured to require a covering e-mail giving personal details such as name and membership number when requesting membership? This would make it much easier for us to validate who it is that is requesting site membership.

Thanks in advance.....

Hi,

Firstly I can confirm that it would not be possible for a member to be approved for your site without one of your administrators doing so directly. If you can let me know the name of the users who were approved it might be possible for us to see from the server logs who it was that approved them.

In terms of additional functionality such as extra details on application this is something we will add to our backlog of requested functionality but clearly we need to balance this against the requirements of our paying clients and so we would not be able to carry out these changes for quite some time.

I hope this helps but if you need any further help please reply.
