What is Start?

'START is a single assessment and referral process to allocate supported accommodation to vulnerable homeless people in Gloucestershire.
Multi agency START meetings are held across the county and consider applications to determine whether they meet the eligibility criteria for supported accommodation and who is most in need of the vacancies as they become available.
If you are aware of anyone who is homeless and in need of supported accommodation they can be signposted to a variety of support agencies (local authorities, probation, Atlas, P3, Greensquare etc.) who will help the individual fill in the START application form and advocate for them at the relevant START meeting'.
