Summer Party 24 July 2010

The Friends held their annual Summer Party with Morris Dancers, stalls, refreshments, live music and children’s games.

Grassroots Grants and the Thames Community Foundation

On 27 April 2010 the Friends received a grant of just under £900 from Grassroots Grants and the Thames Community Foundation. This grant will allow us to purchase much needed equipment and new plantings for the orchard. It will also cover our insurance costs for 2010-2011.

Workdays and Mowing

We meet from 10am to 12pm on the first Saturday of each month between February and November to plant, prune, mow, tidy and carry out any tasks as needed.

Meetings

We hold an Annual General Meeting every year and other meetings as required.

Visits to Other Sites

Members of the Friends and other groups visited a number of similar community sites in the borough as part of an information-sharing exercise organised by Richmond Environment Network.
