Iconic bronze statues find a new home at local school

Fiona, her dog and the roller skaters, the famous statues of Sutton Coldfield town centre in the 1980's and 90's have found a new home thanks to the members of FORP.

A special ceremony was held at Hollyfield School, the new home of the famous statues, to celebrate the handover of the statues from the Mall to the FORP.

Fiona Faizey, Marketing Manager of the Mall, unveiled the official plaque to place the ownership of the iconic statues to head teacher Catherine Lewis and the schools children.

They were originally given to FORP after they responded to the mall's advert, but due to a few incidents of vandalism, it was decided the statues valued at over £20,000 would be safer in the grounds of the school.
