Koi Carp caught in pool
Ross Johns had the surprise of his life when he caught a 6lb Koi Carp on in the parks duck pond. After fishing for over twelve hours, he managed to catch the large golden fish.
One of the main problems the pond has had in recent months has been an over population of Rudd. With over 150 caught by Ross, Dr Stefan Bodnar (Birmingham City Council’s Biodiversity Officer) came to the park to remove the captured Rudd. It was in among the Rudd that Ross caught the Carp.
