Event: Ham House 400th Birthday Celebration

Title Ham House 400th Birthday Celebration
Description

Euphonix will be participating in this celebration.

The singing will begin in the evening, with choirs dotted around the grounds from 6.00pm, each singing for around 10-15 minutes. Warm-up in front of the House at 5.30, Euphonix singing at 6.40. (See detailed schedule for choirs at http://www.e-voice.org.uk/euphonix/committee/files/view/info-for-members/Ham_House_event.jpg).

Then at about 6.45 everyone will gather near the Royal Gates, and then join the procession to sing 2 specially rehearsed songs together in front of the terrace, and then probably several 1000 voices will sing "Happy Birthday" to Ham House.

There will be parking and drop-off points at Ham House at the front of the building. But the organisers are trying to promote a 'green' event so would prefer singers and visitors to use public transport - the 65 bus stops on Ham Common from where Ham House can be seen and is about a 10 minute walk, and the 371 bus stops on Sandy Lane even nearer the House.

Ham House is open, free of charge all day, so people are welcome to come earlier if they wish and bring picnics, friends and family. There will also be workshops on Ham Common for the community parade there from around 1.00pm, so lots to see for those that have the time.

The evening will end at around 8.00.
