Meetings are open to the press and public under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 other than as specified. The Press and Public may not speak when the Council is in session.

Minutes of a Planning Committee meeting of Epworth Town Council

held on Wednesday December 14th at 7pm at Cemetery Lodge.

1. To record the names of members present. Cllr Davies Comm. Chairman;

Cllrs: Levesley, Lindley (arrived 7.20pm), Tatton and R.Whittaker.

2. To receive apologies for absence. Cllr Bramble sent his apologies.

3. To receive declarations of interest (existence and nature with regard to items on the Agenda). Cllr R Whittaker personal interest PA/2011/1185.

4. Public Participation session including items on the Agenda (Model Code of Conduct Order 2007 paragraph 12.1.a.2.)

Mr & Mrs Lister attended the meeting to give councillors a pre submission briefing about their proposed development to place a wind turbine on Newlands Farm Epworth. They intend to submit their plans in the near future and gave a brief overview and answered questions, and will attend a meeting of the Full Council when the application is submitted for full consultation. The clerk was given a full set of documents to copy to allow councillors to view the application. The Committee Chairman thanked them for attending.

5. To Resolve PA/2011/1307 Planning permission to retain fencing and erect gates

RESOLVED: Epworth Town Council submits the following comments:

(1) Drivers are concerned about the restricted view of traffic approaching from the traffic lights from the left

(2) A darker colour on the fence would reduce the visual impact.

6. To Resolve PA/2011/1185 planning permission to erect an extension to the fire station

RESOLVED: Epworth Town Council supports this application as an asset for Epworth.
