RESOLVED: Epworth Town Council objects to this application on the grounds that it would be backland development contrary to DS1 of the local policy and the Council has no wish to set a precedent on development of this type.

Enforcement query re Epworth Water Gardens following an enquiry about the lack of opening of the business, NLC enforcement have established that the one of the owners has been seriously ill, and that they are aware of the planning conditions. NLC do not intend to take further action.

RESOLVED Epworth Town Council objects to this application in support of the decision made by North Lincolnshire Council on the previous application (PA/2011/0457) on the grounds of a narrowed corridor on the public right of way out of keeping with the open character of the area contrary to policy R5 of the North Lincolnshire Local Plan and Supplementary Planning Guidance 4 Public Rights of Way.

Having declared a personal and prejudicial interest Cllr Bramble confirmed a statement made by Cllr Davies relating to the re-submission of the plan due to an alleged fault in the North Lincolnshire Council Planning Committee procedure in that not all the application information had not been available to the committee members and the plan could be re-submitted rather than go to appeal; and left the meeting

Mr & Mrs Lister attended the meeting to give councillors a pre submission briefing about their proposed development to place a wind turbine on Newlands Farm Epworth. They intend to submit their plans in the near future and gave a brief overview and answered questions, and will attend a meeting of the Full Council when the application is submitted for full consultation. The clerk was given a full set of documents to copy to allow councillors to view the application. The Committee Chairman thanked them for attending. 

5. To Resolve PA/2011/1307 Planning permission to retain fencing and erect gates

RESOLVED: Epworth Town Council submits the following comments: 

(1) Drivers are concerned about the restricted view of traffic approaching from the traffic lights from the left 

(2) A darker colour on the fence would reduce the visual impact.
