Membership Renewals – Renewals were due anytime in April any renewals from the 1st May will now be £10 per family but newly registered families will remain at £5 per family.

 

 

 

Information Leaflets –DAISY Lincs are about to have new information leaflets printed and although the written information is generally the same we would like some updated photographs from DAISY Lincs members to go into them.   If you have any nice photographs of children at DAISY Lincs activities ie trips/parties etc that you would be willing to allow us to use for Public Circulation please let us have a copy and we will choose a selection to use. I haven’t received a single photograph to use if none are received I shall have to use my own pictures so please send me something!

 

 

 

Fundraising – WE ALWAYS WELCOME AND ARE NOW DESPERATE FOR DONATIONS FOR A HAMPER WINE/CHOCHOLATES/ETC,  but most of all we need you to sell tickets for our fund raising events. You don’t have to come yourself but if we don’t sell tickets we don’t make money. If we don’t make money we cannot provide any activities for you and your families. So far we have not received any raffle donations and very little support for fundraising activities. Without support we cannot raise money and without money obviously we cannot provide activities for anyone. Please support DAISY Lincs or you may find that it is unable to support you.

 

We urgently need donations of NEW unwanted/unused toys/books gifts etc for our family race afternoon as prizes for the children and adults.

 

We have listened to your requests and are looking at providing more family days/activities and  are actively planning a family cabaret/disco evening.

 

Regular Activities DAISY Lincs have been funding fortnightly activities for children and siblings. Exclusive sessions are being offered to all children registered on the DAISY Lincs membership forms. (Please ensure on you Annual renewal forms that all you children are listed with ages.)  These activities are due to terminate on Thursday 5th July. However they have proved so popular that the committee have decided to extend the activity evenings which will now be the Disability Youth Club. It will run fortnightly from Thursday 19th July for a period of 6 fortnightly sessions staggered over 12 weeks. Scunthorpe United are providing trained staff to supervise our children and medical history forms will need to be completed by anyone who did not access Scunthorpe United short break activities before.  The cost for each children per session will be £2 each. I have stayed at the first session of each activity in my capacity as Chair of DAISY Lincs and am more than happy with the level and quality of staffing and activities. Please pre book your child/children onto these activities by contacting Sarah Teal on 01724 747673. Due to the excessive cost of hiring DANDILIONS Soft Play Area these sessions are not being extended and the final session will be on Thursday 5th July.

 

Activity Club - from 5.30pm to 7.30pm a ‘Activity club’ at Glanford Park offering dance, wii, computer activities, outside activities (weather permitting) to our children and their siblings.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

 

 

 

Saturday 16th June 2012 – There are still places available for this trip which includes return coach travel to Meadow Court Greyhound Stadium in Doncaster with a Hot and cold buffet served in a private suite.  Watch the dog racing and then join the locals downstairs for a disco or a quiet coffee!  Places are limited to DAISY Lincs members only and all must be 18 years & above. The cost will be £10 per person.  Extra places may be made available at cost price of £20 per person for friends or other relatives. Booking forms are enclosed. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE POST.  Cheques only through the post or cash in person at Kaleidoscope.

 

Caistor Quads – Monday 23rd July 2012 DAISY Lincs were seeking  funding from The Big Lottery to run this but we were turned down. The committee felt that the promise of a trip for our older disabled children should be kept and so we are providing and subsidising this day at a cost of £10 per disabled child and £10 per carer. Siblings can only go on this trip as a none participant or as the age appropriate carer.To qualify children must be in year 7 or above as of September 2012. Places will be available for each disabled child along with a place for one carer per family. Return coach transport will be provided. Should there only be a requirement for a carer to accompany the child to Caistor and not to accompany their child on the quads they will be offered free transport to CAISTOR subject to availability of places. There are 40 places for children and carers and 13 extra seats on the coach. It is anticipated that this trip will be VERY popular and places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Booking forms are attached.  This day will include sessions on the quads, rope climbing, high ropes so is physically challenging. PLEASE Do not send cash through the post.

 

 

 

 

 

East Coast Trip – Monday 13th August 2012 – Return Coach transport provided to the East Coast. There will be three drop off/pick up points but you must be picked up where you are dropped off giving you a choice of where you would like to go. The trip will be free of charge but £5 per person is required as a deposit. This will be returned on the coach on the outward journey. Pick up point will be as drop off point. Booking forms are attached.

Halloween Party - Sunday 4th November 2012 RAOB Club 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Fancy Dress is optional and there will be prizes for best costume. Entertainment and food will be provided with more details nearer the time.

 

 

 

Friday 7th December 2012 – D.A.I.S.Y Lincs Fundraiser Redbourn Club with local band Bar Fly and ‘Move over Madonna’ tribute act.

 

 

 

Sunday 16th December 2012 – DAISY Lincs Family Party RAOB Club. Buffet and Entertainment.

 

 

 

Saturday 12th October 2013 – Daisy Lincs Charity Ball
