  Should anyone have ever doubted the commitment of the Cambridge Road Estates Community Group towards the residents they represent or our ability to work as a team in the most difficult of circumstances they will have dismissed such notions after attending our 2008 Fun Day. Saturday September 6th saw the fifth annual Cambridge Road Estates ‘Fun Day’ which was a real partnership effort organised by the Cambridge Road Estates Community Group, the Royal Borough of Kingston Resident Participation Team, Mears Ltd and Smith & Byford. After months of careful planning it finally came together on Madingley Green. with the support of companies including National Clamps, Tesco’s New Malden, Blue Hawaii, Wilkinson, The Look Hair Studio, Capelli Hairdressers, Kingston Vineyard, The Bear Factory, Horton Park Children's Farm, Cannons Health Club Surbiton and Odeon Cinema and funding from Kingston Town Neighbourhood, Thames Community Foundation and Kingston Primary Care Trust.

If you came to the event and enjoyed yourself perhaps you may like to help out for an hour or two at next years event? You will probably end up tired and footsore like the rest of us but we can promise you that the memory of all those people enjoying themselves lasts a lot longer than the sore feet do.
