Technology Thursdays at Kingsnympton Park Estate

This took place in the Youth and Community Centre on Thursday 19th May from 10am until 4 pm.  We only had three people who attended even though we could have helped anyone from complete beginners on the internet through to more experienced users who wanted to learn something new. A tutor from Kingston Libraries turned up in the morning to teach complete beginners and two more trainers arrived late morning offering touch typing lessons but unfortunately there were no takers.

In the afternoon someone wanted advice on the best broadband deal for himself, another guy was having problems with photographs on his computer and the third guy wanted help with a maintenance problem on his laptop. So, although, we were ready and waiting to help lots of people at least the three we did help were happy with the service.

Technology Thursdays now take place every Thursday afternoon throughout the year in the Kingsnympton Community Centre on the Kingsnympton Park Estate.  The shop and cafe are open between 2pm and 6pm on these days. See the Events Calendar for dates. We have a regular group of volunteers who can help people on the estate apply for a FREE refurbished computer, register for FREE internet access or residents can bring in their own PC if they are having problems with it and we will try to sort it out.
