Interested in Beekeeping?

Many of you will have heard through various media outlets, about how Honey Bees are struggling to survive.

If you have ever wondered how you could help, you could become a beekeeper.

You don’t have to be anyone special to become a beekeeper, beekeepers, come from all walks of life. Male or female, young or old, in fact anyone over 18 years of age (for insurance purposes) can become a beekeeper.

If you think you would like to try beekeeping, North Lincolnshire Beekeepers’ are running an intensive weekend course in beekeeping.

Over the two days, you will learn all the necessary aspects (theory and “hands on” practical) of beekeeping that will help a beginner get started with this fascinating hobby.

The course is designed by the BBKA (British Beekeepers’ Association) a nationally recognised organisation, specifically for the novice beekeeper.

The course will be held at Elsham Hall Gardens and Country Park, near Brigg Saturday 12th May and Sunday 13th May. Cost £70.

Numbers are limited to 16 pupils, so it will be on a first come, first served basis. Book early to avoid disappointment.
