2. Transport

Being able to move around in the environment assumes you can get there, is there an accessible transport system. If you want to eat in a restaurant can you get there, and get back even if it's late? Can you travel to London for a concert, can you get on the bus, Can you see a bus? Will it stop for you? Many people want an integrated transport system, just being able to get on a train and be able to talk to a family member or look out of the window can be difficult if the train can only accommodate you in the Goods compartment! In order for disabled people to achieve full participation and equality in their lives they need to be able to get from a to b when they want at a price they can afford. Public and other transport systems need to be totally accessible.
