Info about organisation
|
Kingston Carers Network (KCN) is an independent voluntary sector charity providing advice, advocacy, information and support to unpaid carers. KCN supports carers to access benefits and allowances and to pursue appeals, where necessary. Where carers meet the criteria and are willing, we will signpost or refer to other agencies, such as Age Concern or KCAB for benefit advice, due to our limited capacity. Our legal advisor will advise on unsuccessful benefit claims and support appeals and tribunal preparations, where required. We also give advice on community care issues, health and social care services, as well as providing a range of social and wellbeing services, including support groups, counselling, outings and complementary therapies. |
