Loan Scheme

An organisation or employer has a 'duty of care' and reponsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) to provide reasonable adaptions and assisitve equipment for you to use at work. These duties and responsibilities on an organisation or employer are designed to reduce the risks of people developing or increasing impairments while at work and to ensure equal access and assistance for people with disabilities to carry out their duties at work.

Many people would like to try some equipment out before it is purchased for use at work, so try a range of equipment out in your workspace and then see if your employer or organisaiton will purchase it for you.

At the Access Learning Centre we have a huge array of assistive technologies, ranging from specialist keyboards, mice, buttons and other input devices - to software such as screenreaders, magnifiers and speech recognition.
