ACACIA offers support to mothers and their families affected by symptoms associated with pre and post natal depression (PND) across Sutton Coldfield and North Birmingham. Staffed almost entirely by a dedicated team of 25 volunteers, ACACIA currently offers a level one befriending service accessed through weekly post natal support sessions and a telephone listening service
The support sessions are held on Thursday mornings between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon at St John's Church, Walmley Road in Walmley Village. This is a 'drop-in' service, or referals are received from health visitors, midwives, other NHS staff and relevant statutory or voluntary organisations. If you live in the Kingstanding area visit the St John's Centre at Christ the King Church on Monday mornings. If you live in the Saltley area phone us to hear when our next session there will be (currently fortnightly).
A creche is available for your baby or pre-school children.
